There are six standard cycles in which districts and charters submit data to the Core Data and MOSIS systems. MOSIS also collects data outside of these cycles, for collections like the Assessment Precode. Below you will find the file layout, business rules, and Excel template for each data collection file submitted to MOSIS. The File Layout contains the fields and format in which data must be submitted to the department. The Business Rules contain the rules that are run against the submitted data. The Excel templates are available to enter data into if the district or charter's local records system does not export the data in the necessary format. Instructions to use the templates are available here.

*PLEASE NOTE: Ten new fields have been added to all Student Core files. Stackable Credential 1 and 2 will be expected in files submitted after May 1. The remaining new fields will not be expected until the 2021 June Student Core, Enrollment and Attendance collection is open.
