- Provisional certificates are not renewed.

Extend
- Provisional certificates are two-year nonrenewable certificates. If you are on an Academic Contract with a Missouri institution to complete your teacher education program, an extension may be granted with the support of your institution. Please contact your institution for further directions.
TO LOG INTO YOUR ONLINE EDUCATOR PROFILE
Upgrade
- If you are currently teaching with a professional classification certificate and have completed all requirements for upgrading, you will need to submit the online Upgrade Professional application.
Reactivate
- If you are currently teaching with a professional classification certificate and it has expired or will expire soon, and you will not complete all requirements for upgrading within the next school year, you and your district will need to submit the online Reactivation application.
- If you are newly contracted at least half-time as an educator by a Missouri school district and your certificate has expired
Extend
If you are currently teaching with a professional teaching classification certificate and it has expired or will expire soon, and you will complete all requirements for upgrading within the next school year, you and your district will need to submit an online Extension application.
Renew Certificate - Substitute
To Renew a Substitute Certificate that has expired or will expire soon
- Log into your profile in the educator certification system.
- Please Note: If you have not logged in to your certification account (online profile) in over 12 months, then you will need to register for a new userid and password in order to restore your access.
