Charter schools are autonomous public schools, which receive the same funding from the same sources as other public schools.
To fulfill the federal requirement created in Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 Per-pupil expenditures, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is requiring additional elements to be reported by districts and charter schools starting July 1, 2018, for FY 2019 and all years following. These items will be collected on the Annual Secretary of the Board Report (ASBR).
Calculation of State Transportation Aid Simulator.
The Transportation State Aid Summary data can be located on the Missouri Consolidated Data System Portal (MCDS). Select the following link, click on Reports and Resources at the top of the page, scroll down to the bottom of the page to the section entitled "School Finance Data”, and then select “Transportation State Aid Summary".
