Dear Missouri Students and Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a happy and safe summer. I hope you have lots of fun, but let’s not let important skills slip away.

Research shows that students can lose 2.6 months’ worth of math skills over the summer. Students will have the opportunity to keep their math skills sharp by participating in the Missouri Summer Math Challenge. They can earn badges for mastering math concepts and earn a certificate to celebrate their accomplishments. I hope that students and parents across our state will work together on the challenge. Parents, you can register your child by going to quantiles.com/summer-math and following the instructions.

The Missouri Summer Math Challenge can help prevent summer math slump. Help us make sure students begin school in the fall ready to take on the next level of math.
