Welcome to Missouri PreK-12 Fine Arts! Through the fine arts areas of dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts, students realize their creative potential and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, preparing them for their future career, college, or civic engagement. With the academic standards in the arts as a framework, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) provides ongoing training and support for educators, so that every student in Missouri receives a well-rounded education which includes high-quality arts learning experiences.
