Federal Programs Conference
Federal Programs Conference October 4th through the 6th

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)-sponsored Federal Programs Conference will be held at the Wyndham Executive Center in Columbia on October 4-6, 2026. The purpose of this conference is to provide participants with information and conversation about ESEA/ESSA Federal Programs. There will be a focus on instruction, leadership, and policy.

Current DESE staff will present relevant and necessary information extremely pertinent to any staff who administer, lead, or implement federal programs. The conference planning committee is seeking others, also in the field, to share expertise, trials, and experiences to contribute and increase the quality of the sessions offered at the conference. As such, the conference planning committee is inviting you to submit a proposal for a 60-minute presentation at the 2026 Federal Programs Conference. The Call for Proposal (CFP) submission deadline is June 22, 2026, by 5pm. All proposals submitted before the deadline will be reviewed by a committee of federal education program professionals from DESE. Lead presenters of the selected proposals will be notified by July 3, 2026. One (1) complimentary presenter registration per breakout session, accepted and confirmed, will be given.

Click here to access the Call for Proposal submission site.

Conference registration and lodging information will be posted when available on the DESE Federal Programs webpage. We look forward to seeing you in October!

If you have questions regarding the CFP session content, please contact Stacy Hamlett at MO DESE. If you have questions regarding navigating the online submission process, please contact Tammy Bagley.
